Andrea "Dre" Clements
Andrea "Dre" Clements is the Regional Specialist and GED Instructor for the Region 5 Adult Education Program in Southwest Virginia, where she helps adult learners build literacy skills and transition to workforce training and postsecondary education. Her passion for educational equity began as a Migrant Education Liaison, advocating for literacy access for underserved communities, and has guided her career ever since.

Dre holds bachelor's and master's degrees from James Madison University and earned a Bilingual Education Certificate from the University of Comillas in Madrid, Spain, where she taught English and developed a business English curriculum. She also taught English language learners in Northern Virginia before entering adult education.

An active advocate for the field, Dre serves on the Virginia Association for Adult and Continuing Education (VAACE) Advocacy Committee and is a graduate of the State Adult Education Executive Fellowship (SAAEF). As a member of the NAFTAE Board of Directors, she is committed to advancing policies and partnerships that expand opportunity for adult learners nationwide.
